3/15/10 JOB POSTING: Pediatrician-Children's Mercy Bioethics Center
Children’s Mercy Hospital in Kansas City seeks board certified/board eligible pediatricians from any clinical specialty to help build our new Bioethics Center. Faculty at the Children’s Mercy Bioethics Center (CMBC) will work with clinicians and researchers to analyze ethical issues in child health, organize conferences on current controversies in pediatric bioethics, and help build an interactive website. Applicants must have a record of scholarly productivity.
CMH is a 317-bed pediatric health care system that is affiliated with the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Medicine. The hospital is nationally recognized in the areas of nephrology, emergency medicine, neonatology, and surgery. It is one of seven National Institutes of Health-funded Pediatric Pharmacology Research Units. The system also includes Children's Mercy South in suburban Overland Park, Ks, five inner city primary care clinics, 20 outreach specialty clinics, and a home health program.
Children’s Mercy Hospitals & Clinics is one of the country’s premiere free-standing, independent pediatric clinical, academic and research medical centers, with 317 licensed beds, more than 40 pediatric subspecialty clinics, and the region’s only Level I pediatric trauma center. It is a MagnetTM recognized pediatric health system for excellence in nursing services.
